Maurice's third adventure finds him in some tight spots, including a sinking ship, traveling the desert, and even nearly ending up squished. Even in a pinch, Maurice takes the time to help others, and by saving the camel Cecil, he in turn receives help. This story exemplifies the saying, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you", which is based on the similarly worded moral taught by Confucius. For children, this is a particularly important thing to learn.
